We are seeking a Program Coordinator!

 

PROGRAM COORIDINATOR, PART-TIME

SELKIRK CHALLENGERS GYMNASTICS CLUB (NON-PROFIT SOCIETY)

 

Position Purpose:

Reporting to the Office Manager & Board of Directors, as a key member of the team managing the gymnastics club, contributes to the development and implementation of the programs. Supports key program activities including registration, marketing and communication, event management, and management of online platforms.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Registration and Member communications: Determines timelines & class schedules, monitors and reports on their progress. Ensures program information is readily available to the members and the public. Communicate effectively with participants, parents, other customers, and members of staff. Ensure compliance with Gymnastics BC’s standards and rules for recreational & competitive programming.
  • Event & Volunteer management: Designs and produces program events, including fundraisers and the club’s annual competition. Ensures that activities stay within budget limits.
  • Web content and social media management: Anticipates requirements and produces web content to better meet ongoing club needs.  Operates the online Uplifter registration software.
  • Office Administration: Verify and record receivables and payables. Follow up aging invoices in a polite and professional manner.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Education and/or experience in event planning, project management, marketing, communications, or a related field
  • Experience with youth sports considered an asset
  • Excellent organizational skills, with ability to work well under pressure to meet firm deadlines
  • Excellent communications, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in using computer systems and software, databases, email, the internet and social media platforms
  • Proven initiative and autonomy, the ability to plan and organize your own work and priorities in regular daily activities

Certificates Required:

·         Criminal Record Check: Vulnerable Sector

·         First Aid OFA Level 1 (can be completed after hire)

·         Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders (can be completed after hire)

 

Flexible work schedule available

·         Approx. 20 hours per week, primarily Monday-Friday 

·         Gym closed weekends, all stat holidays, 2 weeks over Christmas break, and 4 weeks over summer

 

Competitive Wage $23 - $25 per hour, to commensurate with experience
